Abstract The demulsification and dewatering of the W/O emulsion are widely used in petrochemical industry, oilfield exploitation, resource environmental engineering. However, efficiently treating via traditional single methods. In this study, a new double-field coupling device is proposed, where conical structure double spherical tangential type. numerical model for established, especially, population balance (PBM) to simulate coalescence breakup dispersed droplets under action.
